What’s your name and where are you from?

My Name’s Kirsty Hamilton and I’m from Glasgow.

Are people in Glasgow excited about Glasgow 2014?

Definitely! Everywhere you go, you hear people talking about it. I am currently working in a local primary school where everyone is looking forward to the Games and discussing tickets etc.

What Clyde-sider role have you been offered?

I will be a Photo team member.

Where will you be based?

In Scotstoun Sports Campus.

What are you most looking forward to about your role?

I'm looking forward to playing a key role in assisting accredited photographers as they capture the defining moments of Glasgow 2014. I am looking forward to working with an enthusiastic and motivated team who will play such a big part in the Games.

Why did you want to be a Clyde-sider in the first place?

To be part of history!

When I heard that the Games would be taking place in my hometown I was excited to think that I could be involved in showing the rest of the world what my city has to offer.

I am interested in a variety of sports and I know that the atmosphere will be electric, especially with a Scottish crowd!

What’s your favourite thing about Glasgow?

My favourite thing about Glasgow has to people – the friendliness of this city is like no other! I might be biased, though…

If you won a Gold medal, what would your celebration song be?

The Killers – Mr Brightside (guaranteed to have everyone on their feet bouncing about).

Can you sum up what you think Glasgow 2014 will be like in three words?

Fun, Exciting and friendly!!!
